Vivian O.
Easy to put together. My kids loved it as a cubby house inside the lounge room until it was time the chooks took it over (not inside the lounge room).
Thanks!
Stephen L.
Well built, easy to assemble and remarkably light for moving around. While roughly twice the cost of an equivalent sized wooden coop, the longevity of this unit will pay for itself in the long run.
Brooke H.
The 3 panel chook tractor is a sturdy, solid & will house my chickens safely (once i find the chickens) It took some time to put together but was an easy assemble. I got the canvas cover & mesh flooring as add ons as I want my chickens safe from the ellimenets & predators. The mesh flooring is wide enough for the chickens to be able to scratch the ground. It is very secure, as I have a dog which is not use to chickens yet & he even will not be able to penetrate this coop. Very secure. (The feeders were not included, they are what i had hanging around)
Jacob S.
These are just what I thought they would be. I'm using the chicken tractors as rabbit tractors as my DIY ones were rotting away and blowing over in the wind. It was very easy to put together and it is significantly easier to move around than my homemade ones.
Great Job Farm & Yard.
John O.
Light enough for me to move alone. I bought the cover also, everything survived through the huge thunderstorms in May.
Keith Y.
Great easy to assemble chooks will love it
Tina D.
Very appropriate for my two girls. They seem to love their new coop. Very well made but was a little confusing to assemble. Other than that it's a nice coop. I think you could identify the different size screws and nuts and bolts on the pack itself as well as in the assembly instructions...
Jane F.
My chickens are enjoying time outside their normal enclosure. Now they have a variety of grasses to eat and leaves to scratch. The chicken tractor was easy to put together and SO lightweight making it a breeze to move.
Mark
This companies customer service was exceptional. I called them about a problem I had with my local supplier and they couldn't have been more helpful solving it. Highly recommend!
Mark F.
Very happy with our mobile chicken coop.
Well made with easy to follow instructions.
Thankyou
Ann A.
Great for my baby chooks. Light in weight. Have three cubes for two chooks. Looking at buying another.
Easy assemble. The best instructions I have ever come across and accessories packaged accordingly.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Would recommend

Perfect smal coop, easy to assemble and move around.
Carole R.
The chicken s love their new home, we haven't added the extension on yet and we'll be moving it to a more permanent spot in due course, it is perfect for what we need!
Steve M.
The chicken tractor was easy to assemble. Most of it could be done with just one person. It’s so easy to move and all our feathered friends are very happy.
Timothy L.
This has been a great product for us. We have a permanent housing structure for our chickens, but this is a nice alternative that allows us to get them moved around the property for new foraging without the worry of predation. We have also been using it as a temporary outside home for baby chicks before integrating them with the rest of our flock. Highly recommend this!

I put the four panel coop together on my own, which took a little finagling to be able to figure out a way to hold the bolts for the roof panels. (Turned it on its roof and used the styrofoam packing material and weight on the coop to stabilize and hold one side while I tightened the other). A second set of hands would be valuable but doing it solo isn't impossible. I used bird netting for the floor because the space for the floor panels is too big to prevent weasels from getting in and my young birds could slip out while moving. Also takes some work as it's hard to connect the netting with zip ties under the nest box. I did have to clarify some points of the assembly project as the instructions say to keep the "long" panels for the ends but fail to note that the long panels are only half an inch longer than the middle ones and they are not marked as end roof panels. Final issue is that in dim light it is nearly impossible to see all the places the protective tape is on and trying to remove it after assembly is very difficult. Those are the complaints but overall this is a very well manufactured unit that goes together, very well compared to most DIY assembly projects. Lovely that the holes do line up and the materials are properly accounted for. I believe this is relatively new and the helpline was very handy and I believe instructions will be improved. Moving forward. Definitely a good investment.

Found the chicken tractor really good after hatching 9 chickens i needed to find some way of keeping them safe. The only problem when they are young to move it they will go through the floor unless i crawl in annd put carboard down. Then i need to go back in and remove it afterwards. So after a few times they know what is going to happen and they get a bit better at it as do i!

I got this coop to bring over the silkies and bantams from my main coop to help with bug control. I had grasshoppers really bad last summer. It was easy for me to put together and used some ingenuity when I could have used another hand. It’s very easy to move around my yard which I do every night. I also got the canvas cover which came in handy during the last storm to keep the chickens better protected since we had hail and high winds predicted. The decals are from Amazon and I love how it dressed the coop up.
Geoff W.
Delivery was prompt
Price was good
Easy to assemble
Simone H.
Love these chicken tractors. Have two with the extension sections and covers. Wondering though if anyone has a modification they’d like to share to be able to access the chooks once in the coop. Sometimes required if selling them and need to get them out in the dark (easier than chasing them once out of coop), or trying to train pullets to use roost bars not floor. I’m finding it hard to not be able to walk in there so any recommendations of what people have done to get around this would be welcome!!
Kim R.
Love the coup it’s so well designed and made. My chooks are loving the mobile space too
Amelia G.
OH MY WORD THIS system has been the BEST buy ever!!!! Our chooks love it sadly I don't have a camera working to take pics but they LOVE IT. We have four beautiful rhode Island Reds and they love using the chook laybox. Just love this system. ALL that was bought.
V
Took me and my brother half a Saturday to put together and it was really easy. So lightweight yet sturdy and perfect for our 2 bantam chickens. (No need to move the perches lower to the ground they can jump!) Really glad I finally just bought one.
Sherry S.
Was easy enough to put together but we were missing a few small parts in which we just used out own. It's sturdy and moves around well. The chickens went into right away and are happy to go back into every night. Overall we are pleased with it as we needed something since we had just moved and hadn't had time to build a coop. We really like that we can move it around and it's not heavy.
Kristine W.
Works well. Happy with my purchase. I wish you could make a larger walk in model.
Andrew R.
What I was looking for from a premade chicken tractor for 10 cornishcross birds. Took a bit to get it together. But I like it so far. Nice to get birds on grass and out of a brooder.
DENISE T.
I ordered the 3 panel mobile chicken tractor. It was a little difficult to put together. Even though the box arrived in perfect shape, one piece was bent. We were able to fix it in the vice, no problem. I love that it is light weight and easy to move. I don't like that it is difficult to get the chickens out of the coop. With doors at either end the chickens tend to run to one end or the other if they don't want to go in for the night or you want to move the coop. So the more extensions you buy the more difficult it is to get the chickens out. My girls do love it and love being outside. I am using it as a transition from brooder box to coop. I am comfortable with their safety in this mobile tractor.

We actually use the tractor for a slightly different use than its intended purpose. Instead of a portable tractor, we wanted it as a permanent housing for our Coturnix quail. The wheels make it incredibly easy to move, but we ended up parking it on cinder blocks to keep it out of the dirt. We also covered the bottom with plywood as we wanted to use sand as the floor substrate. Our quail are our family pets, and as such, we spent a very long time looking for a metal predator proof cage that would keep them safe (and dry!) year round. Assembly was easy and it feels very secure. The interior height is sort of an “in between” height for quail enclosures, but it was super easy to remedy. We simply use the roost bars to hang branches and plants from to create a canopy for our birds so that they don’t bonk their heads. We absolutely love it and feel it was well worth the money. Shipping was incredibly fast and their customer service has been fantastic. Side note: the door is the perfect size for eager six-year-olds who love doing chores in “the quail playhouse.” ☺️ This was a major purchase for us and we spent a lot of time looking at tons of different options. But after factoring in things like materials, shipping, and endless upgrades to make cheaper options predator resistant, we decided it was easier and more cost effective to purchase from Farm & Yard. We are glad we did and recommend it to anyone who wants the peace of mind of safe and happy birds!
Theresa D.
What a great and complete small tractor. Excellent quality and construction. It was reasonably priced and pretty easy for my spouse to put together alone. It works as a really nice private brooding box for the ladies that want to hatch their eggs. I look forward to using it for our meat birds in a couple of months. The only improvement I would make is to have a second door located near the back, but on the side (near the bottom) so that I can open it up and reach in to grab my broody girls and let them out to eat, drink and potty. Pretty funny to watch a full grown person try to crawl inside, all the way to the back where they brood.
Les n Tina K.
Shipping was Quick.
Assembly was easy, and now our 4 black girls love it.
It is the easiest thing to move around to wherever you need it.
Extremely happy with our investment.
Love it.
Richard W.
Great concept and easy to use, the chickens have adapted well.
When assembling there were 2 m8 50mm bolts missing and also 2 lock nuts for the wheel assembly, as per the photos a number of pop rivets were missing, fortunately l had the necessary stuff to replace the missing parts. Overall very happy with the tractor.
Richard

It’s a well engineered and well made product. It took a long time to assemble (all day) but everything went well and all the parts fitted together nicely.
The instructions could’ve been clearer in relation to the wheels but in every other regard they were very good.
Bluey and his five hens moved in a week ago and they seem to like it. The girls are laying so that’s the measure.
Kim P.
Great product, easy to use
Ray D.
excellent product and easy to put together.

I found the staff at Farm and Yard very helpful. Especially when my tractor was delivered to the wrong address. I organised for it to be delivered to my home.
They contacted the truck company and they delivered to me.
Jessica H.
Easy to set up and move around. The shelving in the coop part needs to just be removable not screwed in. The store for pick up was useless and never contacted us to pick it up (Rural Warehouse Cobram, VIC). So I had to contact customer service at Farm & Yard and they were helpful in letting me know it had arrived for pick up.
Steph H.
We used a you tube video to construct as instructions not always 100% clear. Can be constructed by one person but advise two when attaching the roof. Extremely sturdy & very easy to move. Chickens love it.
My only comments is that there's no wind breaker for the coup area and the wire grate under the roosting bars needs to be removable so you can get the eggs that the chooks lay on the ground and not in the nesting boxes.
Samantha H.
Wanted something that was easy to move so we could mow the grass. The tractor has been a great addition to our garden.
Gillian E.
Arrived promptly, clear instructions, well made. Happy chickens. Just one design issue- perches ocer the nest boxes is messy I have put extra perches outside
Roslyn W.
Sturdy construction and a dream to move.
Katrina S.
I have put my silky a couple and they are very safe and happy and thanks a heap, especially for the flooring made the cage perfect.
Megan B.
Thank you for an excellent product you have a very helpful staff member named Alice who went out of her way with great communication.
Shanara B.
Easy to put together, easy to move, does exactly what I need it to. My only issue is that when I take the protective plastic off the metal it has left a sticky residue. While this doesn't affect the functionality of the unit, it is unsightly. If I tried to remove it with anything I think this would void the warranty.
Chris F.
good design and construction and easy to assemble
Nicole M.
Helpful service. Arrived promptly. Easy assembly. Easy to move.
R L
no foxes will get my chickens this time !!
Many thanks to you !
Tauri S.
Was easy to assemble
Great to move around
Just right for 3 chickens
Fleur G.
In the day of cheaply made coupes that are short lived it’s wonderful to see quality still exists . Beautifully made , easy to move and a safe n secure environment for the residents .
Talitha H.
The chicken tractor is pretty good- the only two issues I have with it are: the only place to put nesting box is under purches and therefor chook droppings fall on/in nesting box and sometimes the end wall of nesting box is coming apart and falls down ( inwards)- other than that our chooks give it thumbs up
Steven B.
Easy construction with good fixings and fasteners. Very light weight for manoeuvrability. Chickens seem to love their night time home
Heriot
Well manufactured and so light to move around.
Leola F.
We had always the traditional backyard chook house and run. Lots of rodents etc. Took maintenance to keep the girls secure - lost them to foxes. Then got 2 Labradors who broke in and got our last lot. Knew we needed a more secure home to continue having success with back yard hens. Found your product and it has been a godsend. Our dogs are great around them (we spent a few days familiarising them ). We go away and all is good. We put in automatic feed and water on the door. Love the set up.
Kristen D.
I love this tractor! It took a while to put together, I was working solo so a second person would have sped up the process tremendously. The directions called for 4 specific sized lock nets but there were only 2 included in the hardware - inconvenient but not worth making a stink of it. Other than that, super happy with the final product and the girls love it too!
Roberta M.
Started with a two bay for our chicks and quickly realised a three bay would be much better. Easy to add to the existing. We’ve added silicone to joins as drips through when rains. I would recommend the chicken tractors as easy to make and use. I move ours each day so they have a new spot. This tractor was great when mum hen decided she no longer wanted to look after the chicks. They are safe and sound from predators until big enough. The wheels mean even the kids can move easily. Recommended!!!!
Amanda
My family gave me the 3 panel chicken tractor for Christmas and my chickens love it and I love that they are safe at night as we have a lot of foxes in our area. I just wish that the door to the nesting area opened at the bottom too so I can reach under the mezzanine level. I would definitely order a replacement rear panel if both sections were a door.
Steven B.
Easy construction with good fixings and fasteners. Very light weight for manoeuvrability. Chickens seem to love their night time home.
Kim P.
Very happy with the design and all tools are sent for the assembly.
will be buying an extension in the future.
Rhiannon L.
Really happy with this purchase, easy to move and good quality. More space and easier to clean than the wooden options. . I’m not handy so clearer instructions would have been better (they were actually quite clear but there were a couple of assumed steps/knowledgle but accept my own limitations here!) I like the option of extending if I feel it’s needed.
Jackson T.
Light weight and good quality
Colin H.
Our chicken likes the coop so much it wont leave when we open the door. Great quality coop thats easy to put together and a great idea that it has wheels to move when needed.
Deborah K.
We are very happy with it’ll work well in our middle school agricultural science program, and I think Farm and yard products for being so supportive and professional about everything.
Michelle
We love this chicken tractor. So easy to move around. Easy for for my 8 year old to open & close
Mark W.
I recently got some hens and they love it.plenty off shade for the warmer days and plenty of protection from the rain.
Brendan P.
Great Service
Easy to assemble, Easy to move and the birds are happy.
Teagan B.
Absolutely love it. Took me a couple days to assemble it because I have small children that wanted to help.
Very easy to assemble, instructions straight forward. Was also delivered to my local pursehouse rural in record time, before Christmas.
Geoffrey P.
very well made and to put togather
Mark W.
The hens have plenty of room to move. Nice solid floor to keep the predators out and the girls safe
Carolyn C.
Light weight construction but does the job
Kristy D.
Great idea when cleaning out coop or moving around the yard for a change of scenery for the chooks. Keeps them safe at night
Karen G.
Was easy too assemble and the chooks love it
Gary B.
We purchased our chicken tractor it arrived in only a few days, put it together in no time. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, its design and construction is top notch, I would highly recommend this product to everyone in the market for a chicken coop. We love it.
Douglas A.
Best quail recall pens ever. Farm and yard should make the modifications and advertise them in there product line. Hunters in the south spent big money working their dogs on pen raised quail and after 60 years of doing this there is nothing cheaper or better than your product. If you want the few changes you need to make contact me anytime dougarthur53@gmail.com
Andy W.
Definitely better coop then a wooden one, but water flows through the gaps. Probably worth siliconing it.
I really wish the house part had another front peice with a small door. A optional automatic door would be awesome.
I know it's just a run but I would of chosen all the extras if they existed
Zara U.
The unit components are beautifully engineered however the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired.
Anyhony M.
Conditions extremely hot at the moment no chickens/chooks for it yet but looks ok for housing. When I get chooks they will be roaming about in the yard and locked up of an evening. Nests are good
Lisa R.
I couldn’t be happier with my chicken/duck tractor from Farm & Yard (BYW love ❤️ your business name as well - & it’s easy for me to remember!)
I’ve bought a few chicken & duck tractors over the years from 3 other manufacturers & this one stacks up the best: rectangular (not triangular) so more room for me & the chickens & also it doesn’t get over hot inside it in summer, full roof for shade & protection from rain, aluminium frame so it’s actually light & easy to move, snake/rat proof 10mm x 10mm Avery mesh, hut section fully enclosed externally to the ground so weatherproof but open to the rest of the run so doesn’t get too hot, distributed through so many local outlets, manufactured locally & precision workmanship- never had such accuracy with joins etc when assembling it.
On top of all that, the customer service is outstanding & the price is the best on the market! They even offer decent discounts for multiple orders & breeders & community groups!
The downsides: It’s a tad smaller than my other tractors height & width wise but only by a few cm & preferable since this size allows the tractor to be packaged as modules that easily fit into hatchbacks or even most car boots.
And the modules are so well packaged with padding & are also in cardboard boxes that there is no way your car could be damaged during transportation.
Although I’d ideally like the roof to be a single piece, I fully understand this isn’t possible with the module packaging system. It’s a small price to pay - I’m just careful where I place the feed so it doesn’t get dripped on in heavy rain.
Also, I must thank customer sales & service as they are both prompt & brilliant!
There were a couple of lock bolts missing with ours, so we sourced some from our local hardware store but they were the wrong size & damaged our wheel arms.
Farm & Yard not only supplied the correct size lock bolts but also replaced the wheel arms is hat we had damaged, all free of charge!
They fully deserve my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Marie A.
We are very pleased with our chicken tractor. It went together well and everything fitted. It was packaged very well. The instructions were also very good, not like some Chinese ones!
Lisa C.
Put this together today and we're impressed with the quality of construction. Well riveted and bolts together easily (unlike a flat pack shed we once bought )
Everything you need is included and I'm happy it will keep the residents safe as we also bought flooring.
Rory L.
Well-made, sturdy and will lat a long time. Follow-up service was very good too!
melinda u.
Chicken s love it , that’s the main thing
Scott N.
Absolutely awesome!
We have previously bought the other brand of chicken tractor - These ones are far far better!
So easy to assemble, awesome instructions and no rubbish screws etc missing.
We are so happy with it, money well spent!
Tema H.
It’s great and the chooks love it.
They get to explore new areas daily
And it was easy too assemble.
doris p.
The chicken tractor is really high quality. Very happy with it.
Putting it together was a bit tricky. I was disappointed to realise that it was another item I had bought that needed kilometres of thin plastic sheeting removed from each part. I had just needed to do this with a couple of raised vegetable beds and I may not have bought the tractor if I had known it was also covered in all this plastic. Over an hour's tedious work removing the plastic before even getting to putting it together.
The instructions could be a bit clearer too especially with pictures of the parts they are talking about. Maybe pictures with the names of each part could be included.
Also, it was much easier and faster once I thought to use my socket set instead of the supplied spanners. Might be a good thing to note in the instructions to use socket spanners if you have them.
In the end, I have a very high quality item which is the most important thing.
Beverley D.
The tractor suits my bantams for night roosting I need extra panels for day roaming
Meg B.
Everything is as it says.
I do think it would be possible if in each metal mesh ground cover had an open square in the middle that the chickens can scratch the ground with then that is an improvement to contemplate for the future.
Sharon J.
Love our new tractor, easy to build, nice and light to move around yard. And mumma chook and babies very happy and safe.
Bruce P.
Easy to put together, light and easy to move. Chooks seem happy and at home!
Fun in nature family day care Bowen
Super easy assembly and light weight to move around. My chickens love it. Only negative is that there wasn’t the right number of screws so had to purchase extra from the hardware.
paul r.
Very good and it was easy to put together. Very pleased with it.
Nicola G.
I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service.Michael Nick and Kim Are awesome people This place is great!“I had an amazing experience with this company! The customer service was top-notch, and the product exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality products and excellent service.” Unfortunately I will not be posting any pictures yet Because of my modification , But as soon as I am done I will definitely post pictures Very very Happy Beyond 5 stars Mobile Chicken Coop Chicken Tractor By Farm and yard Highly recommended Thank you again
Jane-Clare L.
This has to be the greatest invention for keeping chickens safe and happy and easy for human chook carers!
It is so easy to collect eggs from the latched door at the back and no cleaning out pooey messes everyday as the chooks sleep on their perches every night- this is fantastic .. can be moved around the paddock with ease... Thank you for creating this ingenious invention! Highly recommend
...
Lorraine D.
Gave it to my daughter for her birthday and she has purchased 2 more panels…love it
Tracy R.
I love this Tractor chicken coop! It’s so light weight that I can move anywhere with just one hand! It’s a perfect addition to my flock! I love that it combines protection and an organic way to raise your chickens.
Wendy R.
All parts arrived in good condition
William P.
Great now I need some chooks
Karen F.
Easy to put together, even for one person. Ideal for my chookies.
Meredith F.
Straightforward to assemble, robust and chook friendly. The three pullets knew exactly how to use it, and we're confident that they're safe from foxes.
Viv H.
My chickens love their new summer home. Myself and my 86 year old neighbour had fun putting the coop together. It was very easy.
Susan P.
The whole chicken tractor was easy to set up, and adding the wire grate at the bottom, the icing on the cake... thank you
Georgina C.
The chicken tractor when built was easy to move which we liked. It was also easy to put together. We had a buy a couple of extra bolts and nuts that were missing.
Also being recyclers and trying to reduce plastic we were disappointed on how much plastic we had to take off each part.
